Sebelumnya Geek Fam harus menderita kekalahan 0-2 dari Home Bois asal Malaysia di hari pertama fase grup, Sabtu (2/12).
Saat ini Geek Fam berada di posisi kedua grup D. Berikutnya Geek Fam dijadwalkan bertemu perwakilan Eropa Timur dan Asia Tengah (EECA) Deus Vult, Selasa.
Sementara wakil Indonesia lainnya, Onic Esports, akan menghadapi wakil Arab Saudi Triple Esports pada laga kedua fase grup, Selasa.
Onic Esports mengawali M5 World Championship dengan mulus, memenangkan laga pertamanya dengan mengalahkan tim asal Brazil Bigetron Sons 2-0 di hari pertama fase grup, Sabtu (2/12).
