Jakarta (ANTARA) – Melalui pertarungan sengit selama enam ronde, Onic Olympus berhasil menjadi juara Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Indonesia 2024 Spring dengan total 119 poin yang didapatnya pada babak Grand Finals, di Surabaya Convention Center (SCC), Surabaya, Minggu (3/2).Tak hanya mendapatkan predikat sebagai tim Free Fire terkuat di Indonesia, Onic Olympus juga mendapatkan bagian terbesar dari total hadiah senilai Rp 700 juta.
Kemenangan ini sekaligus menjamin satu tempat bagi Onic Olympus di FFWS Southeast (SEA) 2024 Spring mendatang.
“Saya sangat bangga dengan tim ini karena kami tidak menyangka mimpi kami akan benar-benar terwujud. Segala upaya dan upaya yang kami lakukan selama ini akhirnya membuahkan hasil manis untuk Onic Olympus. Sulit digambarkan betapa bahagia dan bangganya kami. untuk bisa menjadi pemenang pada Grand Final FFWS ID 2024 Spring hari ini,” kata pelatih Onic Olympus Richki Bagus Setiawan dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima di Jakarta, Senin.
Roster tim Onic Olympus yang menjadi juara FFWS ID 2024 Spring diisi oleh Fadly Rasyid Ali Muhammad (ONIC.GARDUUU), Adam Ramdani (ONIC.JEK), Arya Bumi Satria (ONIC.KIBAA), Rizky Defa Sanjaya (ONIC.JOEL23) , dan Tegar Dika Wardana (ONIC.GAREE) sebagai kapten tim.
Kemenangan Onic Olympus di FFWS ID 2024 Spring merupakan kemenangan pertama mereka di turnamen esports tertinggi Free Fire yang diadakan oleh Garena Indonesia.
Bagi sang kapten, kemenangan ini sekaligus menjadi akhir puasa gelarnya selama bergabung di kancah esports Free Fire sejak tahun 2019 lalu.
“Secara pribadi, kemenangan ini membuat perasaan saya campur aduk. Senang dan sedih bercampur aduk. Saya sempat berpikir untuk pensiun dari esports, namun pada akhirnya saya diajak kembali ke Onic di awal musim ini, dan saya tidak menyesali keputusan itu. sama sekali,” kata kapten Onic Olympus Tegar Wardana (ONIC.GAREE).
“FFWS ID 2024 Spring adalah trofi pertama bagi saya, dan semoga kedepannya akan ada lebih banyak trofi lagi untuk saya dan Onic Olympus.”
Sebelumnya Onic Olympus duduk di posisi keempat Knockout Stage dengan total 477 poin. Sedangkan pada babak Point Rush selama dua hari, tim ini mampu duduk di peringkat keempat di hari pertama dan peringkat 7 di hari kedua. Dengan posisi di Point Rush ini, mereka mendapatkan tambahan 11 poin untuk memulai babak Grand Finals.
