Pajajaran Esports Bogor sabet gelar juara Liga 1 Esports Nasional 2023

PB ESI fokus pada turnamen nasional dan internasional pada tahun 2024

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Pengurus Besar Esports Indonesia (PB ESI) menegaskan komitmennya untuk menyukseskan kegiatan yang menjadi agenda utama esports nasional dan internasional sepanjang tahun 2024.Ketua Harian PB ESI Bambang Sunarwibowo dalam keterangan resmi yang diterima, Rabu, mengatakan salah satu agenda penting esports nasional pada tahun 2024 adalah Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XXI yang akan berlangsung di Sumatera Utara dan Aceh.

Selain itu, agenda esports nasional yang perlu didukung secara optimal adalah National Esports League, termasuk liga nasional yang diperuntukkan bagi pelajar dan mahasiswa.

“Kami berharap PON XXI 2024 mampu melahirkan generasi baru bintang-bintang esports tanah air. Begitu pula dengan harapan kita pada Liga Esports Nasional,” kata Bambang.

“Di tengah persaingan dunia esports yang semakin ketat, kita membutuhkan atlet-atlet yang tidak hanya terampil, tetapi juga berkarakter, bermental baja dan terpuji, serta memiliki komitmen tinggi dalam bela negara,” imbuhnya.

Terkait harapan tersebut, Ketua Harian PB ESI menghimbau kepada seluruh jajaran PB ESI untuk terus meningkatkan sinergi dengan seluruh ekosistem, antara lain pengembang dan penerbit game, tim esports profesional dan amatir, dunia pendidikan, serta komunitas. Sinergi ini diyakini dapat memberikan dorongan bagi pertumbuhan esports yang inklusif.

Di sisi lain, Sekjen PB ESI Frengky Ong menjelaskan beberapa agenda penting esports di tahun 2024.

“Indonesia akan mengikuti IESF Esports World Championship ke-16 yang finalnya tahun ini akan berlangsung di Riyadh, Arab Saudi,” kata Frengky.

Ia menilai perjuangan Indonesia tahun ini lebih menantang karena seluruh ajang yang diikutsertakan harus melalui kualifikasi zona sehingga perlu persiapan strategis agar bisa mencapai prestasi maksimal.
