Jakarta (ANTARA) – Perwakilan GT-Sim Raira Bhaskara mengatakan komunitas penggemar balap, khususnya pembalap profesional, semakin memandang simulator balap lebih dari sekadar permainan, melainkan sebagai olahraga simulasi balap yang serius, sehingga saat ini cukup berkembang.Tim balap terkemuka, termasuk Formula 1, mengandalkan simulator untuk membuat dan menguji pengaturan mobil mereka sebelum menghadapi persaingan di trek sebenarnya.

“Jadi kalau dilihat kemiripannya dengan aslinya 90-95 persen. Dari perputaran setir, apakah informasi yang diberikan oleh setir memberikan feedback. Input gas, rem dan itu semua bisa dikatakan 95 persen mirip, kata Raira saat jumpa pers lapakgaming Battle Arena di Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta, Jumat.

“Kalau kita tertarik jadi pembalap, disarankan pakai simulator, karena ‘cost efektif’. Misalnya kita crash di game, kita ‘restart’ saja. Kalau di dunia nyata, kita crash, kita tidak bisa memulai kembali hidup kita. “Kalau crash di simulator, mobilnya akan bagus lagi,” kata Raira.
