Selain RRQ Kazu dan POCO Star, FFML Season 8 juga menghadirkan pertarungan sengit antara 16 tim lainnya dalam upaya mengamankan posisi 12 besar. Pada fase liga selama empat pekan musim ini, akan ada 12 tim yang berhak melaju ke babak semifinal dan grand final.

Juara bertahan Genesis Dogma SF misalnya, baru tampil panas di game terakhir dengan mengumpulkan 89 poin. Perolehan poin tersebut berhasil mengangkat tim ini ke posisi 8 dengan total 132 poin dari sebelumnya berada di posisi 14.

Sementara tim kuat lainnya seperti Onic Olympus, Dewa United, Thorrad, Evos Divine, dan Tigerwong Esports juga masih berpeluang besar untuk menyalip RRQ Kazu dan POCO yang hanya unggul belasan poin dari mereka.
