Jakarta (ANTARA) – Lembaga Pengelola Dana dan Usaha Olahraga (LPDUK) Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga siap mendorong pengembangan game esports yang dikembangkan oleh pengembang lokal sebagai upaya mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.Seperti dilansir keterangan resmi, Sabtu, Kemenpora juga menggelar acara kick-off Pekan Olahraga dan Esports Nasional (Pepernas) di Wisma Kemenpora Jakarta.
“Kegiatan ini memiliki satu tujuan, salah satunya adalah mengumpulkan generasi muda untuk mengembangkan bakat, minat khususnya di bidang esports dan kami dari LPDUK perwakilan Kemenpora mendukung tumbuh kembangnya permainan lokal. , karena ini juga untuk menyambut Keputusan Presiden (tentang pengembangan Esports di Indonesia) yang mudah. Mudah-mudahan dalam waktu dekat bisa ditandatangani oleh Presiden, kata Plt Kepala Subbagian Pendanaan Olahraga LPDUK Kemenpora, M. Malikul Lubby usai kick off talkshow rangkaian Pepernas di Wisma Kemenpora.
Kick-off Pepernas resmi dilakukan Menpora Dito Ariotedjo pada Minggu (10/12). Sebagai rangkaian acara kick-off, sejumlah kegiatan telah dilakukan sejak Sabtu (9/12), seperti talkshow, pameran sejumlah game esports karya anak-anak setempat, dan persiapan kompetisi mini game.
LPDUK sebagai lembaga yang mempunyai tugas mengelola dana dan usaha olahraga, atas nama Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga, mendukung tumbuh kembangnya permainan lokal bersama para pengembangnya agar lebih luas jangkauannya. dikenal khususnya oleh masyarakat Indonesia sehingga dapat menumbuhkan ekonomi kreatif nasional. Lubby juga berharap dengan rangkaian kick off Pepernas ini, game lokal bisa mengejar ketertinggalan dari kompetitor game luar negeri.
“Pepernas juga akan diperkenalkan ke kota-kota besar di Indonesia dan semoga permainan lokal ini segera dikenal dan tersebar luas di kalangan generasi muda saat ini. Semoga kedepannya kegiatan ini bisa populer dan dapat mendukung tumbuhnya permainan lokal agar bisa mengejar ketertinggalan dan kemajuan.” Gencarnya permainan produksi luar negeri sudah sangat besar,” katanya.
Beberapa game esports garapan developer lokal yang mengikuti kick off Pepernas antara lain Lokapala, Battle of Guardian, Wardeka Battleground, Ghost Parade, dan Evermore Knights.
